Pitfalls to True Esoteric Growth: Lying To Ourselves

This afternoon I felt compelled to briefly touch upon the critically important characteristics innate to our psychoistic natures. Such characteristics being part of our mundane, human Personality and not innate to our Soul-Seed. The characteristics are particularly damning for anyone interested in finding the footpath to the Access Road to the One Way to completing the formation of an eternal Soul-Personality and reaching the End-Stage of human development.

For until such characteristics are objectively seen, acknowledged, and discarded, a tyro will never make true progress and will grow increasingly lost in the Forest of Errors and Illusions. His or her life being no more than a plaything of malicious entities on the astral plane until death intervenes.

The first automatic characteristic is to lie to ourselves that we are more refined, more talented, and reside upon a higher level of being than we actually do. What is now no more than potential qualia are believed to be present in our Personalities right now.

Holding such false beliefs are unsavory in mundane life, but deadly in spiritual life. If you believe that you possess a completed Soul-Personality, when in truth you do not, you will make no worthy efforts to attain such completed Soul-Personality. You will find yourself increasingly lost in fantasy and illusion.

In ancient esoteric schools, the anointed Initiates objectified this characteristic tendency (plus many more) by creating a sacred image (sacred can be godly or ungodly) known as the Deceiver or the Opposer. The function of the Deceiver was to maintain a persons’s awareness enmeshed in his or her psychophysical, empyreal, and astral worlds (the Hindu called such Deceiver Māyā) so not to awaken his or her Soul-Seed so to attain to Union or Liberation from life.

Moreover, whenever a person made a decision to work towards developing his or her Soul-Seed, the Deceiver would automatically provide resistence (more false beliefs or life problems) so to convince the seeker to stop such a foolish search. The Deceiver has a great number of tricks in his black bag so to keep us locked in our illusory prison.

When, I speak of the Deceiver, I am NOT referring to Satan, or any Prince or Princess of Darkness and Malevolence, rather, the Deceiver is no more than the opposing force to a proposed change in level of being. Corresponding with Newton’s Third Law: For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

Equivalently, one change imagine that the movement from the mundane to the closest level of the spiritual corresponds with a chemical reaction going from reactant A to product B. If order to arrive at B, the end state, sufficient energy must be provided the reactant A so to overcome a molecular rearrangement barrier, the activation energy, so to transform into products. Insufficient energy and the system remains in its current state.

In the words of the ancient Initiates, “The Deceiver will do its best to convince you that you already have achieved the spiritual and so you no longer need to work.”

Romans 1:25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

Revelation 3:9 Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie—indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you.
