EsoBites: Beware false prophets
Many seekers traveling the first footpaths leading to the higher paths unknowingly place themselves in contact with the undesirable inhabitants of the under-world of the intermediate or astral world aggregate (it is layered).
As most seekers have not bothered to exercise the organ of discernment, lack personally verified higher knowledge, have insufficiently strengthened soul-seeds (beingness), and believe they occupy a higher state of awareness than is actually the case, they are prime fodder for the manipulations of false christs, wonder workers, and prophets. Jesus warned all of this danger as related in Matthew 24:24 (NKJV) “For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.”
Such persons are called ‘astral phenomenalists,’ as they practice ‘the mysticism of phenomena’ and not ‘the mysticism of the Upper World.’ They seek only conformation of misbeliefs they have become identified with, but have not verified, beliefs gratifying to their egoism, and which satisfy their curiosity. Such desires are what attracts discarnate kesdjan bodies with unfilled carnal needs and other entities without contact to the Upper World.
This is why the First School, and the Order today, tell us to avoid the psychic phenomena of occultism and stick to the wiser path of integration and evolution of our Soul-Personality.
The higher truths are recognized only by students who have crossed the first threshold or screen–so to understand that each possesses and can use his or soul-seed in addition to the psychophysical Personality. When sufficiently developed, this side of the potential Soul-Personality understands and properly utilizes the various components of his or her mind. They are no longer utterly depend upon the ‘laws for physical man.’
If you lack a working soul-seed, you cannot tell what is true.
So it does seem that all of us have been forewarned of the dangers lurking in the under-astral world.
