EsoBites: Pitfalls to True Esoteric Growth: Self-Deification (2/3)

The second automatic characteristic arises from practicing the first, deification of our mundane Personality, that is, pretending that the mundane Personality is the same as the Soul-Personality.

Let me explain.

The evolutionary process upon this earth leads to increasingly complex creatures. In a sense, one can catagorize animals into four general kinds:

[1] One-brain creatures: invertebrates possessing the simplest nervous system, the neural net (touch-motion and chemical sensing). Good examples are worms and sea squirts which are truly a mental, biological apparatuses built for survival and procreation only.

[2] Two-brain creatures: vertebrates possessing a rudimentary central nervous system processing all of the sensory data and motor functions (distinct spinal cord, basal ganglia). Good examples are amphibians and reptiles who are neurologically complex but lack emotions and higher cognitive functions.

[3] Three-brain creatures: higher mammalian and primate vertebrates possessing complex mental functionality (spinal cord, basal ganglia, limbic system, and developed neocortex). Good examples are dogs who understand human language and human emotions, chimpanzees who have some awareness of self and can scheme and deceive.

[4] Four-brain creatures: modern human beings possessing the capacity for true conscious thought, planning, scheming, complex oral and written language, and so on (advanced neocortex, particularly the prefrontal and the temporal).

[5] Five-brain creatures: such would have more layers to the neocortex and may be an evolutionary future state for an advanced humanoid? No data to date.

As four-brain creatures, man is capable of reflective thought; possesses advanced semantic and autographic memories allowing an appreciation of temporality (distinguishing what has occurred, the past, and what as yet to occur, the future); consciously distinguishes himself or herself from other creatures and things; possesses an aphysical Personality Aggregate, or psyche, which feels separate from the corporeal body and seems to be who we are; and many other unique and wondrous gifts from evolution and nature. Another appropriate name for our mundane Personality is the psychophysical, or mindbrain, self.

What is not well appreciated is that all normal men and woman are given a Soul-Seed, or Point-In-The-Heart, by the Guardians residing in the Upper World. The existence of the Upper World has produced the human, misunderstood notions of Heaven, the Angelic, and the Spiritual World. The Soul-Seed is a Divine Gift available to four-brain creatures of the Universe so that human-like creatures may transform themselves into Living Souls and Helpers of the Divine.

However, as the Guardians are righteous and just Beings, the gift must be accepted and developed by conscious choice of each human being. A person who desires to stay within the physical, animal world is allowed to do so to have one physical and one astral life only. Those who desire to work for the Lord God must consciously evolve said Soul-Seed.

Some ancient schools use the phrase “Soul-Personality” to describe such combination of human Personality, or Ego, and the Soul-Seed. Whether or not a person finalizes a suitable Personality and Soul, that is, he or she attains to true permanence of being, is a personal matter.

As I discussed previously, a temporally-competent creature with high cognitive skills and a virtual ego center automatically falls prey to self-aggrandizement and hoarding, both requiring the exercise of force and power against others. This misuse of the evolutionary instincts to survive and procreate is a mandatory defect arising in the normal mechanical evolution of every universe; and to which conscious man is to overcome so to forward Omneity’s Plan.

The ancients were fond of joking, “That the first creature to come into man’s psyche is the Devil and the second is the Holy Spirit.” This realization is noted indirectly in Genesis:

Genesis 2:7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.

The entrance of the Devil first into man is symbolized by saying that God formed man of the dust of the ground–he is physical and so is under the Laws of Nature which promote self over others. As the body was formed first, the Deceiver is the first ‘twin.’ The birth of the Deceiver first and the Holy Spirit second is a teaching from Zoroastrianism . For the Evil One, Ahriman, was born first and the Good One, Ahura Mazda, second. I do hope all of you are beginning to appreciate the depth of some parts of the Bible and its relationship to early ancient knowledge.

The common term for Self-Deification is pride as discussed in our biblical concurrences below. For it was the sin of pride which caused Satan to metaphorically be cast from Heaven.

Therefore, a seeker of God must put aside his or her egoism, pride, and name so to see himself or herself as he or she is at every moment. For when pride and aggrandizement is cast out, the true strength of the Ego may shine.

Scriptural Concurrences:

Matthew 27:63 saying, “Sir, we remember, while He was still alive, how that deceiver said, ‘After three days I will rise.’

2 Corinthians 6:8 by honor and dishonor, by evil report and good report; as deceivers, and yet true;

Titus 1:10 For there are many insubordinate, both idle talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision,

2 John 1:7 For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

Acts 26:18 to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.’

Proverbs 8:13 The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way And the perverse mouth I hate.

Proverbs 29:23 A man’s pride will bring him low, But the humble in spirit will retain honor.

1 Timothy 3:6 not a novice, lest being puffed up with pride he fall into the same condemnation as the devil.
