After God created the first humans, male and female, he invited the Archangels to see them.

After discussing God’s Plan for mankind, Lucifer offered a most cogent remark. He said, “this idea of allocating a modicum of free choice to this creature, as an experiment is a good idea, but I think it cannot work.”

God, asked, “Why, do you think such a thing, dear child?”

Lucifer, replied, “Well, God, I know you are testing my wisdom, so I will answer you. This man and woman are unique for both possess all the instincts of their animal ancestors. By giving then free choice, each will employ his or her intelligence and awareness for selfish reasons.

Remember, Satan. That experiment got out of hand.”

Lucifer continued, “the only way it will work is if you require man to experience the consequences of his or her actions–that is, the consequences, must be such to instruct man as to how to become more than the animal he began as.”

God, smiling, asked, “Lucifer, what do you propose?”

Lucifer replied, “I will go to earth with the Angel Conscience and make sure that she is always whispering in his or her human ear. I will appear to him as a wise man and remind him of the need that he will suffer the consequences of his actions–for he will never learn about love and kindness and wholesome behavior without proper and natural suffering–suffering which he caused himself.”

God, said, “Lucifer, please make it so. Watch out for this man and watch over Conscience. She is an innocent being and I love her dearly. I can see that it will be a very long journey. Especially, since Satan will be with you and interfering.”

And so Lucifer and Conscience came to earth and are doing their very best to help mankind become angels themselves.
