Greetings, dear friends.  I wish everyone well.

A dear friend of mine sent me a note with a totally different metaphor for my little fable.  She interpreted it as a political fable descrying the fate of clever persons living within a totalitarian government, be it monarchy, oligarchy, or dictatorship.  Quite clever, indeed.

But, there is an important lesson herein, as to the danger of words and stories in writing.  When we read a fable or article, it is our nature to impose upon the words our personal understanding of life, as to conclude the intentions of the author.  Much of the time, this is OK as we live within a common culture.  But, sometimes it is very dangerous for someones words may be slanted so to support an aggression against others.

So let us be careful.
