No one without a heart ever attains to pure enlightenment.  Learn to love another for the sake of the other and the Teachings may bear fruit for you.  

There is a very ancient saying from an Egyptian mystery school,

“Father Temu and Mother Nun care nothing for you, until you learn to care for your neighbor.  They do not count you among the stars until your egoism is less than a grain of desert sand. When you reach their palace, you shall be welcomed and addressed as dear child.”
