Greetings,
Greetings,
Providing the preface to my memoirs will help explain why I bothered to write them. I did not write them out of vanity but to illustrate the vast richness of life for those who desire conscious evolution. I wish my readers to realise how destitute physical existence is and awake from Mara’s sleep or Maya. If you choose to remain asleep, your future is dismal. First, your corporeal shell decays into unorganised physical matter. Later, your astral self decays into unorganised astral matter. Poof, you never were.
Let us begin.
Conscious evolution has a price. I have shared pleasant, troubling, and dysphoric adventures with many self-centred persons (zombiods) throughout my chain of lives. Such experiences become meaningful only when we apply superhuman efforts to rise above the social injustice done by evolutionary egoism. Our human nature automatically identifies with the attacker and the situation when attacked personally. By reactively identifying, we effectively buy and now own all the consequences.
And so, we automatically suffer the horror of our conditioned feelings, thoughts, and actions. All this is secondary to human evolution and socialisation. No need to invoke the extra help of a pre-existing Mara or Satan-el.
Looking around, we see the negative consequences of self-aggrandisement and deliberate hoarding necessary resources to enrich the few. We see the filthy rich oppressing the disadvantaged in uncountable ways. We see genocide, mass starvation, slavery, sex trafficking, physical and mental abuse, and so much more. Our human situation is indeed horrific beyond description. Where is the overall good in the evolution of life forms, from simple protozoa to complex hominids? (Hominids refers to gorillas, chimpanzees, humans, and their near predecessors.)
But what about biological evolution below the level of primates? Evolution below the primate species seems to have worked for all creatures, predators and prey, flora and fauna. It is nature’s way of creating diversity in life forms to utilise more geographical niches. To experiment with the resources of our Earth. Natural selection alone does not adequately explain the capability to produce, even unwittingly, creatures with increasingly complex neural systems over vast aeons of experimental time.
When I studied the evolutionary process, my deeper mind informed me that the current theory is incomplete. Natural selection is not the cause of evolution. However, it is the most efficacious biological method to remove less fit animals and plants from competing with more fit creatures under resource restrictions and environmental changes. I do not find it sufficient to explain the development of more complex central nervous systems over long periods.
While I do not know any details about the physical processes driving complexity, I can mathematically visualise a single end-state complexity attractor working with natural selection to produce increasing complexity. Or perhaps a series of complexity-dependant attractors stretched out over future phase space?
Suppose I am correct about the complexity attractor, then I know the purpose of the creation. Biological evolution was just the earliest step in producing a completed, unified conscious universe, hence the attractor.
Such a conclusion supports mankind’s need for a god. Science has married spirituality.
Whatever the method, biological evolution appears to be effectively completed. The long-term development of increasingly complex species has produced creatures with self-conscious awareness capable of exploiting the environment to enhance their knowledge and skills.
I believe the next phase of evolution will not require natural selection. Suppose the complexity attractor(s) exist, which is likely. In that case, the further direction of our species will be the work of human beings. Humans will seek to enhance performance by combining biology with electronics and artificial intelligence to form a more expansive awareness. The age of mankind has given way to the age of cyborgs.
The law of complexity working on the genome may be analogous to the law of gravity attracting mass? Of course, we will never know unless someone other than myself studies it.
Placing the above aside, observing the progression of the myriad of branching chains on the evolutionary path, it appears something drastically wrong has occurred with the appearance of humans. With humans, we begin to see the degradation of the homeostasis of the evolutionary biosphere secondary to human exploitation of plant and animal life.
