Dear Fr and Sr,
I trust everyone’s lessons are proceeding in the most beneficial order.
Many serious students notice that being a Rosicrucian does not always make his or her life easier to bear. In fact, often the mystic’s life becomes much more difficult and he or she experiences a few ‘mini-dark nights of the soul.’ Such happenings are a sure sign that your inner heart is opening just a bit to the Divine–but, remember, that God is able to send you more opportunities for spiritual growth because the Teachings have given you the tools to succeed.
So do not look at these happenings, as bad luck, punishment, attacks by evilness, even if they are, but see them as gifts from the Divine so to speed up your progress. It took me a long time to believe what I am telling you–as my life is always one of conscious conflict with evilness. And such evilness is never far away. But, it doesn’t really matter what happens, as I know that such events can be used to accelerate my conscious evolution. And when you verify that what I am telling you is true–you enter the first ranks of Mastership.
This is what the desert fathers taught about the ever-living presence of the Holy Spirit.
But, this is not what I originally intended to discuss. Rather, I wanted everyone to know that the next Chapter of my childhood in Puerto Rico with the nuns is ready to publish. I hesitate to publish because people want to see events from their own, mundane view and not from the view of those inhabiting the Higher World. Simply put, humans are dismally inadequate in understanding the purity of love. They do not want pure love because they do not love their neighbor as themselves. And to love them as you love yourself means to understand that all of us are dependent upon each other so to optimize God’s plan for humanity and none is better or more important than the other. In other words, Community.
And the purity of love is the only thing I find worthy to write about.
When the ancient Greeks looked upon a naked statute of a goddess they realized that the image was special and was intended for the viewer to move upwards towards the gods. They saw nothing demeaning in beauty or in love.
